Cancun

Cancun sits right by the Caribbean Sea, famous for its stunning white beaches, resorts, and vibrant nightlife. The city has two main areas: El Centro, a traditional downtown with small shops, and Zona Hotelera, a long strip packed with hotels, clubs, and bars. It's a hotspot for Americans looking to party.

With the area's largest airport, Cancun is usually the starting point for many trips around here.

One must-see near Cancun is the underwater museum (Musa Cancun). Plan for a full day there and leave early!

What to Do:

Playa Blanca is a serene beach to the north of Cancun, a peaceful contrast to the lively Zona Hotelera beaches. It's about a 30-40 minute ride from Cancun, so remember to bring cash!

Cancun's Zona Hotelera beaches are perfect for drinks and swimming, with plenty of bars and party spots.

Where to Stay:

Selina Cancun is a massive hostel with a great location and free parking. It's clean and new, but some visitors have had mixed experiences due to the staff being a bit rude.
