Tulum

Tulum is a cool spot by the Caribbean Sea known for its awesome beaches and ancient Mayan ruins. The town sits by a stunning coastline with clear blue water and warm weather, making it one of Mexico's top beach destinations. Tulum also has some really cool cenotes to explore!

If you're into chilling on the beach with a cocktail in hand, Tulum is the place to go! Over the past few years, this small town has gotten pretty popular, with lots of travelers posting cool photos of their adventures on Instagram. Many bars and hostels have even jazzed up their decor to make it perfect for Instagram snaps!

Playa Paraiso is the main beach and the main attraction of Tulum. The white sand, clear blue water and lovely beach bars make this place heaven on earth. The beach is open for the public and easy to reach. There are a lot of hostels around.

From Playa Paraiso you can walk to Tulum South Beach. This beach is not easy accessible from the street, hotels have built gates and walls around their property. If you keep walking on the beach you’ll be able to get there!

The Mayans built these ruins back in the 13th century, making them some of the last ones they ever made. They might not be the biggest in Mexico, but they're definitely some of the most stunning! The main building, El Castillo, sits right on a cliff above the beach and the beautiful blue water.

If you're up for it, bring your swimsuit because you can actually swim right in front of the ruins! Just head down the wooden stairs and chill out at Playa Tortuga. During the summer, they close off the beach so turtles can lay their eggs.

Tip: It's best to visit early in the day to avoid the crowds!

Entrance fee: 65 pesos, which is about 2.6 euros.

Playa Paraiso is the star of Tulum's beaches. With its white sand, crystal-clear water, and cool beach bars, it's like paradise on earth. The best part? It's open to everyone and super easy to find, with lots of hostels nearby.

If you stroll along Playa Paraiso, you can reach Tulum South Beach. It's a bit trickier to get to because hotels have put up gates and walls, but if you keep walking along the beach, you'll get there eventually!

In Tulum, there are two famous cenotes: Gran Cenote and Cenote Dos Ojos. They're both just a 20-minute drive away from Tulum. If you're feeling too hot and the ocean water isn't doing the trick, these cenotes are perfect for cooling off!
