Aqaba

Aqaba, Jordan's coastal gem on the Red Sea, offers a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure. Known for its crystal-clear waters, Aqaba is a paradise for snorkeling and diving, with vibrant coral reefs and diverse marine life. The city itself boasts a rich history, with ancient ruins like the Aqaba Fortress and the oldest known church. Stroll along the lively waterfront and enjoy fresh seafood in the many local restaurants. Aqaba’s warm climate and stunning sea views make it a favorite destination for both locals and tourists seeking a peaceful retreat.

If you want to go diving, I recommend staying in Darna Divers Village, a hotel/hostel/dive center located 20 minutes south of the city center of Aqaba.

This hotel is right in front of the beach, has a huge pool, great accommodation, good food and super dive instructors!

Diving here is super easy, you just walk into the sea, no boat needed!
