Taghazout

Taghazout is a small fishing village at the Atlantic coast, close to Agadir. It is best known for its surf spots and its easy going atmosphere. The whole village breathes surf and chill vibes.

From Banana Point to Anchor Point, Killer Point and Boilers, Taghazout houses a lot of good surf spots, offering waves for every surf level! Most accommodations offer surf boards and wetsuits for less than 10 euro per day.

Food is cheap and delicious, make sure to try a fish/squid tagine in a local restaurant at the beach.

There are many amazing surf hostels, AirBnb or hotels, in the village or even right on the beach. Most places sell out very easily because of its limited availability, don’t miss out by booking too late!

Taghazout is located 281 km, 3,5 hours by car from Marrakesh and 470 km, 7,5 hours from Zagora. Essaouira, another well-known surf village, is a 2.5 hour drive from Taghazout and 2.5 hours from Marrakesh. I haven’t been, but everyone says it is worth a visit!
